360 Degree Feedback
Survey
In order to improve their performance, professional managers often seek
informal feedback from the people they interact with at work.
The 360 degree survey is a system that formalises the gathering of such
feedback. It gives bosses, peers and direct reports a structured framework in
which to comment and provides a valuable insight into perceptions of a
manager's performance.
The benefits of this tool include consistent analysis, anonymous presentation
of results allowing honest assessment, and the clear identification of areas
for improvement. This allows the manager to construct a focused and highly
individualised development plan.

OCQ (The
Human Factors Organisational Culture Questionnaire) was designed as a practical
instrument of measurement and the management of change. It is a tool used for
identifying the culture which is at present operating in the organisation.
The OCQ does not categorise the organisational culture into a particular type
but describes it in terms of its predominant characteristics, behaviours and
attitudes. Human Factors helps companies to understand the existing culture of
their organisation by using the OCQ, then analysing the results obtained. Once
the existing culture has been identified, the organisation can identify which
areas need improving and what interventions should be used to reach the ideal
or espoused culture.
From research, Human Factors have identified the 12 main dimensions which are
important in any organisation:
-
Productivity
-
Leadership
-
Customer Focus
-
Communication
-
Conflict Management
-
Human Resource Management
-
Participation
-
Innovation
-
Decision-Making
-
Professionalism

of these dimensions. For each team member, the system collects the views of
each individual as well as several other team members including both close and
distant colleagues, i.e. those that they work with every day and those that
they interact with less frequently. The results are analysed at the individual
